Thoughts of Deal Deli began on a visit to the Dolomite Mountains high in the North Eastern Italian region of Vicenza. Eating the best food, sipping the finest wines and generally enjoying ‘la dolce vita’ whilst gazing towards the lights of Venice, we had to accept… ‘Italians do it better’.

We’ve spent a lot of time in Italy searching for abandoned vehicles in the barns and garages of rural villages before reviving them to their former glory.

This includes Salvatori, the 1962 Volkswagen van. Salvatori was found, unloved, in a Milan garage, perhaps recalling his heydays in the heart of the community, delivering bread throughout the city. True to Deal’s fascinating history, we smuggled him back to deliver a select range of Italian produce direct to your door!
